To cancel an OurTime subscription, you have to go through the same channel you used to sign up: the OurTime website, Apple’s App Store, or Google Play. Using the wrong one is the most common reason people keep getting billed after they think they’ve canceled. Subscriptions auto-renew until you actively stop them, so deleting the app or letting the account go idle will not end the charges.
Check Where You’re Actually Being Billed
Pull up your credit card or bank statement and look at the name on the OurTime charge. OurTime is operated by Match Group, and the line item may show Match Group or a related entity rather than “OurTime.”1Match Group. Brands and Legal Process – Match Group If the charge instead shows Apple or Google, the subscription runs through that app store and has to be canceled there.
Then log into OurTime and find your renewal date. That date is your deadline. Cancel the day after and you’ve already paid for another cycle. Have your login email and password ready, since OurTime asks for the password again before it lets you into subscription settings.
Cancel on the OurTime Website
If you subscribed directly through OurTime on a computer, the steps are:2Our Time. Turning Off Automatic Renewal or Canceling My Account
- Click the gear icon in the upper-right corner.
- Click “Manage Subscription.”
- Enter your password when prompted.
- Click “Cancel Subscription.”
- Answer the short set of questions, then click “Continue Cancellation.”
OurTime will give you a confirmation number and the last day of your current subscription. Save both. Your paid features stay active through that expiration date, so you’re not forfeiting time you’ve already paid for.2Our Time. Turning Off Automatic Renewal or Canceling My Account
On a Mobile Browser
The mobile-web path is slightly different:2Our Time. Turning Off Automatic Renewal or Canceling My Account

Cancel Through the Apple App Store
If you signed up on an iPhone, OurTime can’t process the cancellation. Apple handles the billing, so you cancel through Apple:3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap “Subscriptions.”
- Find and tap the OurTime entry.
- Tap “Cancel Subscription.”

Cancel Through Google Play
Android users who subscribed through Google Play cancel there, not inside the OurTime app. Open Settings, tap Google, tap your name, then “Manage your Google Account.” Go to “Payments & subscriptions,” then “Manage subscriptions.” Find OurTime in the list and cancel it.5Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play Check your Google Play purchase history afterward to confirm the cancellation registered and to see when your access ends.
Cancel by Mail or Through Customer Support
OurTime’s terms of service also allow cancellation by mail. Send a signed, dated letter stating that you want to cancel, along with your name and the email address or phone number on the account, to:

You can also submit a request through the Help Center at help.ourtime.com.6Our Time. Contacting Customer Care The mail route is worth considering if the online path hasn’t worked, since a postmarked letter creates a paper trail.
Canceling the Subscription Does Not Remove Your Profile
Cancellation stops future charges. It does not take your profile off the site, and other users can still see it. After you cancel, OurTime offers the option to hide the profile or deactivate the account. Deactivating removes your emails, photos, and profile records immediately.7Our Time. How Do I Cancel My Subscription and Remove My Profile From the Site Hiding keeps your data intact while making you invisible to other members. Whichever you pick, cancel the subscription first. Deleting the app or deactivating the profile without canceling billing will not stop the charges.
What Happens After You Cancel
Paid features stay active through the end of the current billing period.2Our Time. Turning Off Automatic Renewal or Canceling My Account Once that period ends, the account reverts to a free profile with limited functionality. You can still browse, but messaging and other premium features go back behind the paywall.
A handful of states have cooling-off laws for dating service contracts that may entitle you to a refund within a few business days of signing up. The rules vary, so check with your state attorney general’s office if you’re inside that initial window. Outside those state-law situations, OurTime subscriptions are generally non-refundable for the remaining time on a billing period after cancellation.
If Charges Keep Appearing
If you’ve canceled and are still being billed, first confirm you canceled through the right channel. A subscription bought through Apple won’t stop because you canceled on the OurTime website. Check both your Apple and Google subscription lists to make sure no active OurTime entry is still sitting there.
When a company keeps charging after a real cancellation, you can file a dispute (sometimes called a chargeback) with your credit or debit card issuer. Call the number on the back of the card or start the process through your account online. A written dispute letter as follow-up strengthens the claim. Keep your cancellation confirmation number, any screenshots, and a copy of any mailed cancellation letter as evidence that you acted before the billing date.
