To cancel Opodo Prime, log in to your Opodo account and use the “Manage subscription” option under My Prime account, call the Prime support line, or cancel through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store if you signed up through a mobile app. Do it before your renewal date, since a cancellation request submitted on the day the charge posts is often rejected because the payment has already processed.
Cancel Through Your Opodo Account Online
This is the primary route. You’ll need the email and password from sign-up. If Prime was added during a booking and you never set a password, check your inbox for the original Prime welcome email (it contains a link to create one) or use “Forgot your password?” on the login page.
Once you’re in:
- Click the profile icon (your name with the yellow star) in the upper-right of the Opodo homepage, then open the “My Prime account” tab.
- Under “My plan,” click “Manage subscription.” A pop-up will appear.
- Click “Cancel” in that window and follow the prompts to confirm.
Once confirmed, Opodo disables auto-renewal and you won’t be charged on the next renewal date.1Opodo. How to Cancel Your Opodo Prime Subscription
Expect friction on the way out. At least one screen will ask why you’re leaving, and you may see an offer for a discounted rate or a flight voucher. You don’t have to accept anything. Keep clicking through to the final confirmation. If a screen doesn’t show an obvious “continue cancellation” button, check for smaller text at the bottom of the page.

If you can’t access your account online, call the Prime support line. Opodo advertises the VIP line as available around the clock, with most calls answered within two minutes.2Opodo. Have your email and membership details ready. Ask the agent to send written confirmation of the cancellation. Retention offers may come up on the call; you’re free to decline and insist on cancellation.
Cancel Through Apple or Google
If you subscribed through the iOS or Android app and billing is handled by Apple or Google rather than Opodo directly, cancelling on the Opodo website won’t stop the charges. You have to cancel through whichever platform is billing you.
A quick way to tell: check your bank or card statement. If the charge shows as “Apple” or “Google,” cancel there. If it shows as “Opodo” or “eDreams ODIGEO” (Opodo’s parent company), cancel through Opodo.

Cancelling During the Free Trial
First-time subscribers get a free trial that starts at the time of booking. Opodo currently shows a 15-day trial, though promotional periods may differ.5Opodo. Opodo Prime When the trial ends, your payment method is charged automatically unless you’ve cancelled first.
This is where most people get caught. You book a flight, accept the trial for the discount, and forget about it. Set a calendar reminder for a day or two before the trial ends rather than waiting until the last moment. People who try to cancel on the day the charge posts often find the request denied because the payment has already processed. A day early avoids that entirely. The cancellation steps during the trial are the same as above, and cancelling inside the trial window means no charge at all.6Opodo Partners. Opodo Partners – Prime
What Happens After You Cancel
Cancellation doesn’t cut off your benefits immediately. Your membership stays active through the period you already paid for, or through the end of your free trial. After that date, Prime discounts on flights, hotels, and car rentals disappear from your searches. Your Opodo account itself stays active, and any bookings you already made are unaffected.
Opodo should send a confirmation email. Save it. That email is your proof if a charge shows up later. Also check your account dashboard to make sure the status reads as cancelled rather than active. If it still shows an active subscription after you’ve clicked through the flow, contact support right away because the cancellation didn’t take.
If You’re Charged After Cancelling
Unexpected charges after cancellation usually trace to one of three things: the cancellation didn’t fully process, the timing was too close to renewal, or billing runs through Apple or Google and you only cancelled with Opodo. You have options either way.
Contact Opodo First
Call the Prime support line and reference your cancellation confirmation email. If you can show cancellation before the renewal date, Opodo should reverse the charge. Some users have reported being offered a flight voucher as a goodwill gesture, but you can push for a full refund to your original payment method rather than accepting a voucher.
Dispute With Your Bank or Card Issuer
If Opodo won’t cooperate, dispute the charge directly. For credit cards, federal law gives you 60 days from the date the bill containing the error was sent to dispute an unauthorized charge. Send a written dispute to the billing inquiries address (not the payment address) on your statement, including your account number, a description of the charge, and a copy of your cancellation confirmation. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days.7Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
For debit cards and bank account charges, the Electronic Fund Transfer Act lets you stop a preauthorized recurring transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the scheduled payment date. The bank can require written confirmation within 14 days of an oral request.8Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers If you know a renewal date is coming and Opodo hasn’t confirmed your cancellation, tell your bank to block the specific recurring charge.
