To cancel NovelPack, you have to cancel wherever the charge actually originates: inside the NovelPack app if you subscribed directly, through Apple if you signed up on an iPhone or iPad, through Google Play on Android, or inside your PayPal account if you authorized automatic payments there. Canceling in the wrong place does nothing, which is why so many people keep getting billed after they thought they were done.
Find Out Who’s Actually Billing You
Pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the merchant name on the NovelPack charge. “Apple.com/bill” means Apple is the biller. “GOOGLE*NovelPack” or similar means Google Play. A line from “PayPal” with a NovelPack reference means you set up automatic payments through PayPal. A charge directly from NovelPack or iReader (the company behind the app) means you subscribed through the app or website itself.
If you still have the original confirmation email, it will usually name the billing method and include a transaction ID. Keep that handy in case you need to contact support.
Cancel Inside the NovelPack App
If you subscribed directly through NovelPack rather than through an app store, open the app and go to your VIP status page. There’s a cancellation option under the VIP section that turns off auto-renewal.1Apple App Store. Novelpack App Some users have also reported finding a cancel option through the “1v1 Service” chat feature inside the app.
One snag: users who signed up with a “visitor” account (no email or phone number linked) have reported being blocked from canceling in the app, with a message saying cancellation doesn’t support visitor accounts.1Apple App Store. Novelpack App If that happens, you’ll need to work through your payment platform or dispute the charges with your bank.
Cancel Through Apple on iPhone or iPad
If you subscribed through the App Store, Apple handles the billing and the NovelPack app itself can’t stop it.
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find NovelPack and tap it.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.

If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple If NovelPack isn’t in your subscription list, you didn’t subscribe through Apple; check Google Play or PayPal instead.
Free Trial? Cancel at Least 24 Hours Before It Ends
On an Apple free trial, you need to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid being charged for the first paid period.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Set a reminder a couple of days early. Missing the window by even a few hours means you’ll be billed, and then you’re asking for a refund instead of just canceling.
Cancel Through Google Play on Android
Uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription. Google will keep charging you.
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select NovelPack.
- Tap Cancel subscription.
- Follow the prompts to confirm.
As with Apple, you keep access through the end of your current billing period.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel Through PayPal
If you set up automatic payments through PayPal, canceling inside the NovelPack app may not stop PayPal from sending future payments. You have to revoke the billing agreement in your PayPal account.
- Log in at PayPal.com and open Settings (the gear icon).
- Click Payments.
- Select Subscriptions and saved businesses (sometimes labeled Automatic Payments).
- Find NovelPack or iReader in the list and select it.
- Click Cancel to revoke the billing authorization.

Confirm the Cancellation Actually Took
Go back to whichever management page you used (Apple Settings, Google Play, or PayPal) and look for a status that says “Canceled” or “Expires on [date]” instead of showing a next renewal date. Screenshot it. If a charge shows up later, that screenshot is your best evidence in a dispute.
Purchased coins and other virtual currency generally stay in your account after cancellation, though NovelPack’s terms don’t guarantee they last indefinitely.
Getting a Refund
NovelPack’s own terms are blunt: the company’s stated remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the service, and the terms don’t describe a refund process.5Novelpack. Use of Terms But if Apple or Google processed the charge, their refund policies apply and can override that.

If Charges Keep Coming, Dispute Them With Your Card Issuer
When you’ve canceled, been turned down for a refund, and are still being billed, a credit card dispute is the fallback. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date your statement was sent to dispute a billing error in writing with your card issuer. Send it to the billing inquiries address your issuer designates, not the payment address, and include your account number, the amount, and why the charge is wrong. The issuer must acknowledge within 30 days and resolve within 90, and you can withhold payment on the disputed amount during the investigation without being reported delinquent.8Federal Trade Commission. Your Legal Protections on Auto-Renewing Subscriptions
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any company selling through a negative option feature, which includes auto-renewing subscriptions, to clearly disclose all material terms before collecting your billing information, get your express informed consent, and provide a simple way to stop the recurring charges.9Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet A buried cancel button or a process harder than sign-up can be a violation.
The FTC’s click-to-cancel rule, finalized in late 2024, goes further by requiring sellers to make canceling as easy as signing up. For online subscriptions, that means a working cancel button rather than a required phone call or email exchange.10Federal Trade Commission.
