You can cancel a NovaLift subscription at any time by logging into the Customer Portal on the NovaLift website, emailing help@shopnovalift.com, or calling (855) 982-2929. NovaLift’s own terms state there are no cancellation penalties, and you won’t be charged again as long as you cancel before your next billing date.1NovaLift. Subscribe and Save Terms The click itself takes a minute. What you do right after matters just as much.
Cancel Through the Customer Portal
The fastest route is signing into your account on the NovaLift website and opening your subscription settings. The cancellation option lives there, and confirming it updates your account status in real time, which gives you an instant record if a billing question comes up later.
Have your signup email and current password ready before you start. If you’ve forgotten the password, reset it rather than switching to email or phone. The portal gives you the most direct control over the account.
Cancel by Email or Phone
If you can’t get into the portal, or you just want a human on the other end, email help@shopnovalift.com or call (855) 982-2929.2NovaLift. FAQ For email, use a subject line like “Cancel Subscription” and include your name, the email on the account, and your order number. State plainly in the body that you want all future shipments and charges stopped. A sentence such as “I am canceling my NovaLift subscription effective immediately” does the job and creates a written record.
On the phone, write down the representative’s name, the date and time, and any confirmation number you’re given. Representatives may offer discounts or a paused plan to keep you subscribed. You don’t have to accept. If you want out, say so and steer the call back to confirming the cancellation.
Timing Around Your Billing Date
NovaLift bills monthly on the date tied to your original enrollment.1NovaLift. Subscribe and Save Terms Cancel before that date and the next charge won’t run. If the date has already passed for the current cycle, canceling stops the following month’s charge, but the current shipment has already been paid for.
Check your original order confirmation or a recent bank statement for the exact day each month. Don’t wait until that day. Give yourself a few days of cushion for any processing delay.
Save Proof and Watch Your Statements
Once you submit the cancellation, get proof. Screenshot the portal confirmation or your updated account status. Save the full email thread if you canceled that way. If you called, ask for a confirmation number and a follow-up email.
Then watch your bank or credit card statements for at least two full billing cycles. Most cancellations go through cleanly, but occasionally a charge that was already queued will still run. Your confirmation is what turns a stray charge into a refund.
What to Do If Charges Keep Coming
If NovaLift charges you after you’ve canceled, your options depend on how the payment was taken.
Credit Card Charges
The Fair Credit Billing Act lets you dispute billing errors on a credit card, and a charge for a subscription you already canceled qualifies.3Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 Correction of Billing Errors To preserve your full rights under the statute, the dispute must be in writing, sent to your card issuer’s billing inquiry address rather than general customer service, and received within 60 days of the statement date showing the charge.4Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Regulation Z 1026.13 Billing Error Resolution Include your name, account number, and why the charge is wrong. Attach your cancellation confirmation.
Most issuers also accept disputes by phone or through their app. Do both if you can. Call to start the process, then send the written notice to lock in your statutory protections.
Debit Card or Bank Account Charges
If NovaLift pulls the money directly from your checking account or debit card, federal law lets you stop preauthorized transfers by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled payment.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Regulation E 1005.10 Preauthorized Transfers Call your bank, tell them you’ve revoked NovaLift’s authorization to charge the account, and follow up in writing. Banks may require that written confirmation within 14 days or the oral stop-payment order expires.
Once you’ve revoked authorization with both NovaLift and your bank, any further charge from NovaLift is treated as unauthorized, and your bank should refund it.6Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Stop Automatic Payments From My Bank Account Ask about stop-payment fees before you place the order.
File a Complaint
If NovaLift stalls or the cancellation process itself felt designed to trap you, report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and to your state attorney general’s consumer protection division.7Federal Trade Commission. Your Federal Backstop
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act prohibits companies from charging you through a negative option feature unless they clearly disclose the terms upfront, get your express informed consent, and provide a simple way to stop the recurring charges.8Congress.gov.
