How to Cancel Netflix Through T-Mobile: App, Web, or Phone

To cancel Netflix through T-Mobile, you have to work from the T-Mobile side, not Netflix’s. Remove the Netflix add-on through the T-Life app, my.t-mobile.com, or by calling 611, then log in to netflix.com and cancel the membership itself so any backup payment method Netflix has on file doesn’t quietly take over the billing.

Why the Netflix Cancel Button Won’t Work

When you activated Netflix on Us, T-Mobile became the billing intermediary. Your Netflix charges ride on your wireless bill instead of hitting a card through Netflix directly. Because of that arrangement, the cancel option on Netflix.com either doesn’t appear or bounces you back to T-Mobile.1T-Mobile. T-Mobile Netflix on Us To stop the charges, the T-Mobile side has to be handled first.

You’ll need your T-Mobile login for the app or website, or your account PIN if you call. If someone else is the primary account holder, you’ll need permissions on the account to change services.

Then Cancel on Netflix Too

This is the step people miss. Removing the add-on only stops T-Mobile from paying Netflix on your behalf. It does not cancel your Netflix membership. If Netflix has a backup payment method saved, which is likely if you linked an existing Netflix account when you activated the benefit, Netflix will start charging that card or bank account once the T-Mobile billing link ends.1T-Mobile. If the Netflix Option Doesn’t Show Up

A few common snags:

  • The T-Life app throws a “cannot add via app” error. Use my.t-mobile.com instead.
  • Netflix doesn’t appear under add-ons at all. Check that you’re signed in as the primary account holder or an authorized user with full access.
  • Your plan was never eligible for Netflix on Us. In that case the subscription is billed directly by Netflix, and you cancel on netflix.com.

When none of that works, call 611 or 1-800-937-8997. A representative can remove the add-on from the back end regardless of what the app or site is doing.3T-Mobile. Contact Us
