How to Cancel NCSA Membership: Letter, Rights, and Disputes

To cancel an NCSA membership, call member services at (877) 845-6272, email recruitinghelp@ncsasports.org, and follow up with a certified-mail cancellation letter to NCSA’s headquarters at 5725 Bollettieri Blvd., Bradenton, FL 34210.1NCSA College Recruiting. Contact NCSA – Phone Number, Address, and Email Use all three channels, not just one. NCSA membership agreements are structured as multi-year contracts, and families frequently report resistance when they try to end them early, so the goal from the first contact is a clear, documented request that stops future charges.

How to Reach NCSA to Cancel

Member services answers the phone Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT, and Friday through Sunday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. CT.1NCSA College Recruiting. Contact NCSA – Phone Number, Address, and Email Before you call, pull together the email address on the account, the student-athlete’s name, and the name of the person who signed the contract. NCSA is now part of IMG Academy and operates from the Bradenton, Florida campus; older guides listing a Chicago address are out of date.

What to Expect on the Call

This is where most families hit a wall. Consumer complaints describe representatives telling families they cannot cancel because the athlete quit the sport, or that cancellation requires a doctor’s note proving a career-ending injury, or that the only options are an early termination fee of over a thousand dollars or continuing monthly payments through the remaining contract term. None of those conditions tend to be disclosed during the sales presentation.

Expect the representative to offer a reduced payment, an account pause, or a transfer to a retention specialist. None of those are cancellation. Be direct: say you want to terminate the membership and stop all future charges. Write down the representative’s name, the date and time of the call, any reference number, and exactly what was said. If they refuse, ask them to note your cancellation request on the account and tell them you intend to exercise your rights under federal law.

Send a Written Cancellation Letter

Send a written cancellation request by certified mail with return receipt to 5725 Bollettieri Blvd., Bradenton, FL 34210.1NCSA College Recruiting. Contact NCSA – Phone Number, Address, and Email The return receipt gives you a dated record proving the company received your letter, which is what you’ll rely on if a billing dispute develops.

Your letter should include:

  • The student-athlete’s name
  • The guardian’s name as it appears on the contract
  • The email address on the account
  • The date you’re requesting cancellation
  • A clear statement that you do not authorize any further charges

Send the same request by email to recruitinghelp@ncsasports.org the same day, and keep the sent message. Overlapping proof matters if NCSA later claims they never received your request.

Your Federal Rights When NCSA Resists

Two federal laws work in your favor. The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires any business that charges consumers through an internet-based subscription to provide simple mechanisms to stop recurring charges.2Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 U.S.C. 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet If you signed up online, the company must offer a straightforward way to cancel online.

The FTC’s Negative Option Rule, effective May 2025, requires the cancellation process to be at least as simple as sign-up and available through the same method you used to enroll. A business cannot force you to speak with a live agent to cancel unless you originally signed up by speaking with an agent.3Federal Register. Negative Option Rule Naming both laws during the call does not guarantee compliance, but it shifts the tone and creates a record that you invoked specific federal protections.

Dispute Charges That Keep Coming

If NCSA continues billing you after you’ve requested cancellation, dispute the charges with your credit card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act. Send a written dispute within 60 days of the statement showing the charge, to the address your issuer designates for billing inquiries (not the payment address).4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 U.S.C. 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors Include your name, account number, the disputed amount, and why the charge is wrong.

The issuer must acknowledge your complaint in writing within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days or two billing cycles, whichever comes first.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 U.S.C. 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors During the investigation, the issuer cannot report you as delinquent or take collection action on the disputed amount, though you still owe undisputed portions of the bill.5Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges Debit card protections are weaker because the money has already left your account. You can also ask your bank to place a stop-payment on future NCSA debits, which blocks new charges but does not resolve past ones.

Where to File Complaints

When a company refuses a cancellation or keeps charging, filing complaints adds pressure and creates official records. The FTC accepts consumer complaints at ftc.gov/complaint. The agency does not resolve individual disputes, but complaints feed into enforcement, and ROSCA violations can result in civil penalties and consumer refunds.2Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 U.S.C. 8403 – Negative Option Marketing on the Internet

Your state attorney general’s consumer protection division is often more responsive to individual complaints, and many offices will contact the business on your behalf. The Better Business Bureau is not a government agency, but it forwards complaints to the business and publishes the response publicly.

Delete Your Profile Separately

Canceling the membership and deleting the recruiting profile are two different actions. NCSA’s contact page includes a dedicated link for profile deletion, which removes the athlete’s information from the platform.1NCSA College Recruiting. Contact NCSA – Phone Number, Address, and Email Handle the membership cancellation first. Deleting a profile while a paid contract is still active does not automatically stop billing. Complete the cancellation, get written confirmation that no further charges will occur, and then request profile deletion.

Watch Your Statements for Two Billing Cycles

Even after you receive written confirmation of cancellation, check your bank and credit card statements for at least two full billing cycles. Automated billing sometimes processes a final charge after cancellation is entered. Dispute anything unexpected right away; the 60-day FCBA window runs from the date the statement containing the error was sent, and waiting too long forfeits your right to challenge it.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 U.S.C. 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors

If NCSA refers an unpaid balance to a collections agency, you have the right to request written verification of the debt, which the collector must provide before continuing collection efforts. Dispute the debt in writing within 30 days of first contact and note that the underlying charge is contested. This is the situation your paper trail was built for.
