Cancel the Paid Membership in the App
There is no free tier to drop down to, so canceling is the only way to stop the monthly charge. In the app:
- Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner
- Select “Manage membership”
- Tap “Cancel my membership”

What You Get Back
Monthly subscribers don’t get a refund, but the membership stays active through the end of the current billing cycle. On a six-month or annual plan, canceling within the first month triggers a refund of the unused months; after that first month, you keep access through the end of the term but get nothing back. Close RoarMoney by Phone
Canceling your membership does not close your RoarMoney banking account, and you can’t close RoarMoney through the app. Call MoneyLion Customer Care at 1-844-224-0087, which is staffed around the clock.8MoneyLion Help Center. Delete Your MoneyLion Account
Even after you cancel the membership and close RoarMoney, your profile and data still sit on the platform. To remove the account itself:
- Tap the profile icon in the bottom right corner
- Scroll down and tap “Settings”
- Select “Account management”
- Tap “Delete account”
Deleting the account does not erase every piece of personal information MoneyLion has collected.9MoneyLion. Cut the Bank Link Through Plaid
Most people linked their outside bank through Plaid when they signed up for MoneyLion, and that connection can persist after the account is gone. To revoke it:
- Log in at my.plaid.com
- Select “Accounts”
- Click the name of the financial institution you want to remove
- Select “Delete from Plaid” and confirm
Removing a connection through the Plaid portal does not automatically delete your data from third-party apps that used it,11Plaid. For extra safety, remove any saved payment methods from your MoneyLion wallet before deleting, and watch your linked bank statements for a month afterward for unexpected withdrawals.
Save Your Tax Documents Before You Delete
Once the account is deleted, you lose access to everything stored inside the app. Download anything you may need at tax time before you start: a 1099-INT if you earned interest on RoarMoney, a 1099-B if you sold investments, and records of any cryptocurrency transactions. Retrieving these after the account is gone can mean contacting support and waiting on a manual process, so pull them while you still have login access.
