To cancel your Life360 subscription, go to whichever platform actually charges you: the Apple App Store if you subscribed on an iPhone, Google Play if you subscribed on Android, or Life360.com if you signed up directly through the website. Deleting the app from your phone does not cancel the subscription, and billing will keep running until you cancel at the source.
Find Out Who’s Billing You
Open the Life360 app, tap Settings, and look for “Manage Membership.” If that option appears, your subscription runs through Life360’s own billing and you cancel on their website. If it doesn’t appear, you’re being billed through Apple or Google Play, and the cancel button lives there instead.
One other possibility: you may not be the subscriber. If someone else in your circle pays for the plan, “Manage Membership” won’t show on your account, and only that person can cancel it.1Life360. Cancel My Membership
For reference, Life360’s paid tiers in the United States are Gold at $14.99 per month and Platinum at $24.99 per month.
Cancel Through Apple on iPhone
- Open the Settings app.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Life360.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
If there’s no cancel button, or you see an expiration message in red text, the subscription is already canceled.2Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple You keep your paid features through the end of the current billing period, and Apple will not refund the remaining days.
Cancel Through Google Play on Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right and confirm you’re on the right Google account.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Tap Subscriptions, then select Life360.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
Google will ask why you’re canceling before it confirms. Once confirmed, the status changes to show the plan won’t renew, and you keep Gold or Platinum features until the paid period ends.3Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel on the Life360 Website
If you subscribed directly through Life360:

Life360 sends a confirmation email to the address on file. Save it. If a charge appears on your card after you’ve canceled, that email is your proof.1Life360. Cancel My Membership
After the paid period ends, your account drops to the free tier. Basic location sharing continues; premium features like roadside assistance and extended location history stop.
If You’re on the 7-Day Free Trial
Life360 offers a 7-day free trial for its paid plans. Cancel before the trial ends or you’ll be charged the full monthly rate, with no refund for unused time.1Life360. Cancel My Membership
The steps are the same as above. What changes is the timing. Apple requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the trial expires, and Google recommends canceling well before the renewal date. If you’re unsure whether you want to keep the service, set a reminder for day five or six.
Will You Get a Refund?
No. Life360 does not issue refunds for unused subscription time, whether you cancel on day one of a billing cycle or day twenty-nine. Your paid features run out the clock on the period you already paid for, then the account reverts to free.1Life360. Cancel My Membership
If you were charged after properly canceling, the dispute is with Apple or Google rather than Life360, because those platforms process the payment for app store subscriptions. Both have their own refund request processes on their support pages.
Deleting the App or Account Isn’t the Same Thing
Removing the app from your phone does not stop your subscription. Deleting your Life360 account is a separate action too, and if your billing runs through Apple or Google, deletion alone may not stop the charges either.4Life360 Help Center. One thing to handle before you leave: if you’re the admin of a circle, assign someone else as admin first. Go to Settings, tap Circle Management, tap Change Admin Status, and toggle admin privileges on for another member. If you don’t, Life360 will automatically designate a new admin for the circle.5Life360 Help Center. Change My Circle Admin
