How to Cancel Kindroid Subscription on Any Device

To cancel a Kindroid subscription, go to whichever platform processes your payment: the App Store on iPhone or iPad, Google Play on Android, or the Stripe-powered billing portal on kindroid.ai for web signups. Canceling inside the Kindroid app itself does nothing, because billing is handled by the storefront where you originally subscribed.

Figure Out Where You’re Being Billed

Search your email for “Kindroid” or “receipt” and find the original purchase confirmation. If it came from Apple, cancel through your iPhone or iPad settings. If it came from Google Play, cancel through the Play Store. If the charge on your bank statement shows as “Stripe” or “Kindroid” and you signed up at kindroid.ai, cancel through the website’s billing dashboard.

This distinction matters more than people expect. If you subscribed through the App Store but try to cancel on the Kindroid website, charges keep coming. The billing relationship sits with whichever storefront processed the original payment.

Cancel on iPhone or iPad

  • Open the Settings app.
  • Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Subscriptions.
  • Select Kindroid from your active subscriptions.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription. You may need to scroll down.

If there’s no Cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple You keep paid features until the current billing period ends. Apple doesn’t prorate refunds, so canceling early in a cycle gives you no advantage over canceling late.

Cancel on Android

  • Open the Google Play Store app.
  • Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions.
  • Tap Subscriptions and select Kindroid.
  • Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.

Once confirmed, the status changes to “Canceled” and no further charges process against your payment method.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

Pausing Instead of Canceling

Google Play offers a pause option for some subscriptions, which temporarily stops billing without full cancellation. If it’s available for Kindroid, the pause starts at the end of your current billing period and can last anywhere from one week to three months depending on the app. Look for “Pause payments” on the same screen where you’d cancel.2Google Play Help. Cancel on the Kindroid Website

If you signed up directly at kindroid.ai, billing runs through Stripe rather than an app store. Log in to your Kindroid account, open your account settings, and click “Billing.” That opens the Stripe-powered portal where you can cancel your plan.3Kindroid. Kindroid – Legal

One thing worth knowing if you’re planning to resubscribe later: web subscribers pay less. The monthly plan costs $13.99 through the website versus $14.99 through Google Play or the App Store, and the yearly plan runs $139.99 versus $149.99.4Kindroid. Subscriptions

What Happens After You Cancel

Canceling stops future charges but doesn’t cut off access right away. You keep all paid features through the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for. When that period ends, your account drops to the free tier.3Kindroid. Kindroid – Legal

The free tier is noticeably more limited. You lose the flagship language model and drop down to Kindroid’s smaller “Lite” model. Selfie requests shrink to one every two hours, you’re capped at two Kindroids per account, and you get roughly five minutes of lifetime audio rather than the monthly allotment paid subscribers receive. Cascaded Memory, the enhanced medium-term memory feature, disappears entirely.4Kindroid. Subscriptions

Chat history and generated media stay on your account as long as the account itself exists. Kindroid keeps conversation data and media until you delete a specific AI companion or delete the whole account.3Kindroid. Kindroid – Legal

Canceling the Subscription vs. Deleting the Account

These are two different actions. Canceling stops billing but keeps your account, your AI companions, and all your chat history intact. Deleting the account wipes everything permanently.

Kindroid warns that all content associated with a deleted account may be destroyed. If you delete by mistake, you can email hello@kindroid.ai for help, but the company makes no guarantees about recovery. Think carefully before choosing deletion if you have conversations or companion configurations you might want later.3Kindroid. Kindroid – Legal

Requesting a Refund

Kindroid’s own terms state you won’t receive a prorated refund for unused time after canceling. The platform where you paid may still process a refund if the circumstances qualify.3Kindroid. Kindroid – Legal

Apple Refunds

Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, select “Request a refund,” choose a reason, and pick the Kindroid charge. Apple typically responds within 48 hours, though getting the money back to your payment method takes additional time. Approval isn’t guaranteed and depends on Apple’s review.5Apple Support. Google Play Refunds

Google handles refund requests through the “Budget & order history” page on the Google Play website. Select the Kindroid charge, tap “Report a problem,” and complete the form. If more than 48 hours have passed since the charge, Google directs you to contact the app developer, since developers can process refunds under their own policies. Decisions usually come within one to four days.6Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play

If You Can’t Find Your Subscription

Sometimes Kindroid doesn’t appear in the App Store or Play Store subscription list. This can happen when an app has been temporarily removed or delisted, or when regional availability changes. If the listing has disappeared, the management page may throw errors or redirect you.

Email Kindroid support directly at hello@kindroid.ai. They can locate the subscription on the backend and guide you through cancellation. You can also try managing Google Play subscriptions from the web at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, which sometimes surfaces subscriptions the mobile app doesn’t display.
