Cancel Directly With Homemade Method

The company’s own cancellation link is the fastest option. Open hmde.me/cancel while logged in and follow the prompts to confirm. If the link gives you trouble, or you’d rather have a written record from the start, email hello@homemademethod.com and state that you’re canceling. Include the email address tied to your account so support can find it.1Homemade Method Q&A. How Do I Cancel?

Check your billing cycle before you submit. Homemade Method bills monthly, quarterly, or yearly, and canceling mid-cycle on the yearly plan does not generate a prorated refund unless you’re still inside the 30-day money-back window.2Homemade Method. Then wait for a confirmation email and save it. Screenshot it too. If nothing arrives, email support again and ask explicitly for written confirmation that your subscription has ended and no further charges will occur. That record is what you’ll rely on if a charge shows up later.

Cancel Through Apple or Google Play

If you originally subscribed inside an app rather than on the Homemade Method website, the company can’t cancel your subscription for you. Apple and Google handle that billing themselves, so you have to cancel where you signed up.

iPhone or iPad

Open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find Homemade Method, tap it, and tap Cancel Subscription. If there’s no Cancel button or you see a red expiration message, it’s already canceled. On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or you’ll be billed for the first full cycle.3Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple

Android

Open Google Play, tap your profile icon, then Payments & Subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Select Homemade Method and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel anything. The charges will keep running until you cancel inside Google Play.4Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play

After canceling through either store, you keep access for the rest of the period you already paid for, and no further charges should appear once that period ends.

Get a Refund Within 30 Days

Homemade Method advertises a 30-day money-back satisfaction guarantee for new subscribers. Cancel within 30 days of your first purchase and ask for a refund, and the company says it will return the full amount.2Homemade Method. Live Membership To claim it, email hello@homemademethod.com inside that window and state clearly that you are requesting a refund under the guarantee.

Past 30 days, the company isn’t obligated to refund you under this policy. Charges that hit after you already canceled are a different matter, and you have separate tools to reverse those regardless of when you first signed up.

Stop the Charges Through Your Bank or Card

If Homemade Method ignores your cancellation or keeps billing you after confirming it, you don’t have to wait on them. Your bank and your card issuer each have their own way to shut the charges off.

Debit Card or Bank Account

Under Regulation E, you can stop a preauthorized recurring transfer out of your bank account. Call your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled charge and revoke authorization. The bank may ask you to follow up in writing within 14 days; if they require written confirmation and you don’t send it, the oral stop-payment order expires at the end of that period.5eCFR. 12 CFR 1005.10 – Preauthorized Transfers Send the letter or email promptly if it’s requested.

Credit Card

If you paid by credit card, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date the statement with the disputed charge was sent to file a written billing error notice with your card issuer. The notice needs your name and account number, the charge you’re disputing, and why it’s wrong. The issuer has 30 days to acknowledge the dispute and must resolve it within two billing cycles, no more than 90 days.6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors

Most people start by calling the number on the back of the card or opening a dispute in the bank’s app. The written notice is what triggers the legal protections, so put it in writing when the amount matters. Attach your cancellation confirmation email as proof you ended the subscription.

One caution: if you kill payments at the bank without formally canceling with Homemade Method first, the company may treat those missed charges as an unpaid balance and can send it to collections, which then affects your credit. Cancel with the company, get confirmation, and use the bank or card issuer only for charges that appear after that cancellation is on record.

After You Cancel

Watch your statements for at least two full billing cycles. A final charge is possible if your cancellation landed after the cutoff for the current period, but anything beyond that isn’t authorized. The sooner you catch it, the easier it is to reverse.

If your account still shows an active subscription or you still have premium access after your paid period should have ended, treat that as a sign the cancellation didn’t register. Run through the cancellation process again and screenshot each step this time.

File a Complaint If They Won’t Cooperate

If Homemade Method refuses to honor your cancellation, keeps charging you after confirmation, or won’t process a refund you’re owed under the 30-day guarantee, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov. The FTC doesn’t resolve individual disputes, but its complaint data drives enforcement. Your state attorney general’s consumer protection division handles individual complaints more directly and can investigate businesses operating in your state.
