How you cancel a Fox News subscription depends on which product you’re paying for and who processes the payment. Fox Nation, the standalone streaming service, is canceled through whichever platform handles your billing: the Fox Nation website, Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal. Fox News the cable channel is canceled by calling your TV provider and dropping or downgrading the package it’s bundled into. Both take a few minutes once you’ve identified the right billing source.
Find Out Who’s Actually Charging You
Canceling in the wrong place does nothing, so start with your bank or credit card statement. A charge routed through Fox directly will reference “Fox Nation” or “FOX.” A charge routed through a third party will show Apple, Google, Amazon, Roku, or PayPal as the billing entity instead. Whichever name appears is where you have to cancel, because Fox itself can’t stop a charge that another company is processing.
Grab the email address you used to sign up before you start. That’s your account identifier. If you don’t remember the password, reset it first rather than getting stuck partway through the cancellation flow.
Canceling Fox Nation on the Website
If Fox bills you directly, log in at the Fox Nation site, click the profile icon, and open “My Account.” Go to the “Billing” tab and select the cancellation option. The site runs you through a couple of confirmation screens. Save the confirmation email or on-screen cancellation ID as proof.
Fox Nation’s terms state that payments are nonrefundable and that no credit is issued for partially used billing periods. You keep access through the end of the cycle you’ve already paid for, whether that’s monthly or annual, but no money is returned.1Fox Nation. Canceling Through Apple, Google, Amazon, or Roku
When a third-party platform processes your subscription, you cancel inside that platform. The path differs slightly by device, but the logic is the same: open your subscriptions list, pick Fox Nation, and cancel.
Apple (iPhone or iPad)
Open Settings, tap your name at the top, then tap “Subscriptions.” Find Fox Nation and select “Cancel Subscription.” Apple will confirm and show the date your access ends.2Apple. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Google Play (Android)

Amazon

Roku
From the Roku home screen, highlight the Fox Nation channel, press the Star button, and select “Manage subscription.” If that option isn’t there, Roku isn’t your billing source and you’ll need to cancel wherever you originally signed up.5Roku. Manage or Cancel Subscriptions on Roku
Canceling When PayPal Handles the Payment
If you used PayPal, the recurring payment authorization lives in your PayPal account. On the website, open Settings, click “Payments,” then “Automatic payments.” Locate Fox Nation and cancel it there. In the PayPal app, tap the Menu icon, then “Subscriptions” or “Linked Businesses,” select the merchant, and tap “Unlink.”6PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One After you cancel through PayPal, log in to your Fox Nation account and confirm the subscription shows as canceled there too.
Dropping Fox News From Cable or Satellite
Fox News the cable channel is a separate product from Fox Nation the streaming service. If you get it through Comcast, Spectrum, DirecTV, or a similar provider, you can’t cancel just the channel by itself: you change the TV package it sits in. Fox News is usually bundled into mid-tier or higher packages, so dropping it typically means downgrading to a lower tier, which can save roughly $10 to $30 per month depending on the provider and your current plan.
Call customer service or use the provider’s online chat. Expect a retention pitch with discounts or free months to keep you at your current tier. If you want the channel gone, stay firm, ask for a confirmation number, and note the representative’s name. Changes usually take effect on the next billing cycle, though some providers apply them right away.
Emails and Account Deletion Are Separate
Free Fox News newsletters are managed separately from any paid subscription. Canceling Fox Nation does not stop marketing emails, and clicking “Unsubscribe” on an email does not cancel a paid account. To stop newsletters, use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any Fox News email. Federal law requires companies to honor that request within ten business days.7Federal Trade Commission. If you also want to delete your Fox account, look for a data deletion or privacy request option in account settings or on the Fox privacy page. Deleting the profile removes your personal data from active systems but does not cancel a paid subscription. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
If Charges Keep Coming After You Cancel
Start with Fox Nation support through the chat on the Fox Nation help site during business hours. Have your cancellation confirmation ready, whether that’s an email, a screenshot, or a reference number.
If the company won’t fix it, dispute the charge with your credit card issuer. Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, you have 60 days from the date the erroneous charge appeared on your statement to send a written dispute. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. While the investigation is open, you can withhold payment on the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report you as delinquent or send the account to collections over it.8Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
Federal law also protects you from cancellation processes designed to trap you. The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act makes it illegal to charge recurring fees for an online subscription unless the company clearly disclosed the terms up front, obtained your express consent, and provides a simple way to stop the charges.9Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Feature Allowed Only With Express Informed Consent If you’re being blocked, buried in steps, or forced to make a phone call to cancel something you signed up for with one click, you can file a complaint at ReportFraud.ftc.gov. The FTC uses those reports to build enforcement cases against companies with a pattern of unfair billing practices.
