How to Cancel Ducky’s Car Wash Membership: 4 Ways

To cancel your Ducky’s Car Wash membership, use one of four channels: the Manage Account section on the Ducky’s Express website, the Ducky’s mobile app, a phone call to your membership location, or an in-person visit to a wash. No advance notice is required, and your unlimited wash access stays active through the end of the billing cycle you’ve already paid for.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions

The Four Cancellation Methods

Online Through Manage Account

Log into the Manage Account portal on the Ducky’s Express website and select the option to cancel. This is usually the quickest route if you still have your login, and it leaves you with a timestamped record of the request.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions

Through the Ducky’s App

The Ducky’s mobile app is listed in the company’s terms as an official cancellation channel.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions Open your account settings inside the app and cancel from there. If you originally signed up through the app, this keeps the record in one place.

By Phone

Call your membership location directly. Contact numbers for each location are on the Ducky’s website. One rule to know before you dial: voicemail cancellations are not accepted.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions You have to speak with a person. A message left after hours will not stop your billing.

In Person at a Location

Any Ducky’s location can process the cancellation at the wash. An attendant will pull up your account and cancel it while you wait, which lets you confirm on the spot that the system shows the membership as canceled.

What to Have Ready

The terms don’t spell out required data fields, but you’ll need enough to let staff or the website locate your account:

  • The name and email address on the account.
  • Your license plate number, which is often the primary identifier at locations that use license plate recognition instead of windshield stickers.
  • Your RFID tag number, if your location uses a windshield sticker. You can log in with that number, and it helps staff find your account if you’ve lost your login.

If the RFID sticker has fallen off or become unreadable, your name, email, and plate should still be enough for staff to find you by phone or in person.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your unlimited access continues until the next billing date. Cancel on day five of a monthly cycle and you still get washes for the rest of that period. Ducky’s does not issue prorated refunds for the unused days in the final cycle.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions

Save the confirmation email or a screenshot. If a charge shows up after the membership should have ended, that confirmation is your proof the cancellation went through in time.

If You’re Still Charged After Canceling

Start by contacting Ducky’s. Most charges that hit after a cancellation are timing issues, where the payment was queued before the cancellation was processed, and a call to your location can usually get you a refund.

If Ducky’s doesn’t resolve it, your next step depends on how you pay. For credit card charges, federal law gives you 60 days from the date the statement with the error was mailed to send a written billing-error dispute to your card issuer. Include your name, account number, the amount, and the reason you believe the charge is wrong.2Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors

For bank account (ACH) payments, you can stop future preauthorized transfers by telling your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled charge. The order can be given orally or in writing, but if you give it orally the bank can require written confirmation within 14 days or the order lapses.3eCFR. 12 CFR 205.10 – Preauthorized Transfers A stop-payment order is effective for six months and can be renewed.4Legal Information Institute. UCC 4-403 – Customers Right To Stop Payment Burden of Proof of Loss

A stop-payment order only blocks the charge at the bank. It doesn’t cancel the membership itself. Cancel through one of the four official channels first, and use a stop-payment as a backup if charges keep coming.

No Pause or Suspension Option

Ducky’s does not let you temporarily pause a membership.1Ducky’s Car Wash. Terms and Conditions If you’re going away for a month or two, the choices are to keep paying or to cancel and re-enroll later. Accounts are suspended automatically when a card on file expires or can’t be charged, but you can’t trigger that yourself.

If you’ve replaced your vehicle, ask at a Ducky’s location about transferring the membership to the new car rather than canceling. The terms don’t lay out a formal transfer process, but staff can update the license plate and RFID sticker linked to the account.

FTC Click-to-Cancel Rule

The Federal Trade Commission finalized a click-to-cancel rule requiring subscription sellers to make cancellation as simple as sign-up.5Federal Trade Commission. Federal Trade Commission Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule Making It Easier for Consumers to End Recurring Subscriptions Companies cannot force you through a harder process, or restrict you to limited phone hours, if you originally signed up online. If canceling Ducky’s turns out to be meaningfully harder than signing up, that’s grounds for a complaint to the FTC.
