To cancel a Clean Freak Car Wash membership, submit the “Manage My Unlimited Membership” form at cleanfreakcarwash.com/contact-support/ and select “Cancel Membership” from the dropdown. Clean Freak does not publish a phone number for cancellations, and its membership page doesn’t offer an in-person option, so the online form is the route. The whole thing takes about a minute once you have your account details in front of you, and your card keeps getting charged every month until you actually submit it.
What to Have Ready Before You Open the Form
The form asks for your first name, last name, email, and phone number, and these need to match what you gave Clean Freak at sign-up. You’ll also pick your home wash location from a dropdown, so know which Clean Freak you use.
There’s a field for the barcode number from your windshield sticker, marked “if applicable.” You can submit without it.1Clean Freak Car Wash. Manage My Unlimited Membership If the sticker is still on the windshield, the barcode is printed on it, and including it helps Clean Freak match your request to the right account faster, especially if your name or email changed since sign-up.
Pull up a recent bank or credit card statement showing a Clean Freak charge before you start. That statement confirms the exact email or phone number tied to your billing profile, and it gives you a reference point for checking that charges actually stop after cancellation.
Filling Out and Submitting the Form
Open cleanfreakcarwash.com/contact-support/. In the “I want to” dropdown, choose “Cancel Membership.” Fill in name, email, phone, and location, add the barcode and any comments if they apply, and submit.1Clean Freak Car Wash. Manage My Unlimited Membership
Watch for a confirmation email. If nothing arrives within a couple of business days, submit the form again, and take a screenshot of the completed form before you hit submit the second time. That screenshot is your proof of the request date if a billing dispute comes up later.
If the dedicated form gives you trouble, the general contact page at cleanfreakcarwash.com/contact/ lets you send a message to a specific location as a backup. Start with the membership form though.
If You Sold the Car or Lost the Sticker
Selling, trading in, or totaling the car does not cancel the membership. Monthly charges keep running until you submit the cancellation request, even when the RFID sticker left with the old windshield. This is how people end up eating months of charges before they notice.
Because the barcode field is optional, you can submit without it. Use the comments box to explain that the vehicle was sold, totaled, or is otherwise gone. Your name, email, and phone number should be enough for Clean Freak to find the account. If your phone number changed since sign-up, put the old number in the comments alongside the current one.
Clean Freak’s FAQ confirms accounts can be looked up by the phone number linked to the membership, so even without a barcode there’s a way to find you in their system.2Clean Freak Car Wash. Clean Freak Car Wash Home – FAQ
When the Charges Actually Stop
Clean Freak’s terms say your credit card is “automatically charged each month until the Fast Pass Account is cancelled or terminated.”3Clean Freak Car Wash. Terms and Conditions of Service The terms don’t spell out a required notice period before your next billing date, and they don’t address whether you keep wash access through the end of a paid cycle or whether partial-month refunds exist.
Given that gap, submit early. Don’t wait until a few days before your billing date and hope the request processes in time. Mark the next expected billing date on your calendar and check your statement that day. If a charge still comes through after you submitted, the confirmation email or screenshot becomes your evidence for a dispute.
If Clean Freak Charges You After You Cancelled
Your options depend on how you pay.
Credit Card
The Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date of the statement containing the error to send a written dispute to your card issuer. Send it to the address the issuer designates for billing inquiries, not the payment address, and include your name, account number, the charge amount, and why you think it’s an error.4Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors
Attach your cancellation confirmation or screenshot. Send by certified mail with return receipt so you have proof of delivery. Subscription disputes move faster when you can show the exact cancellation date and a charge dated after it.
Debit Card or Bank Account
If Clean Freak pulls from a debit card or directly from your bank account, federal law lets you stop a preauthorized recurring transfer by notifying your bank at least three business days before the next scheduled payment. The notice can be oral or in writing, though the bank may ask for written confirmation within 14 days of a phone request.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693e – Preauthorized Transfers If you placed a valid stop-payment order and the bank let the charge through, the bank owes you the refund.
A stop payment at the bank doesn’t cancel the membership. It only blocks the transaction. You still need to submit Clean Freak’s cancellation form; otherwise the company can treat the account as delinquent rather than closed.
Your Rights If the Form Doesn’t Work
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act requires companies that use automatic-renewal billing to provide “simple mechanisms for a consumer to stop recurring charges.”6Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 8403 – Negative Option Marketing The FTC reads that to mean cancellation should be at least as easy as sign-up. If you signed up online, the company has to let you cancel online, which Clean Freak does through its membership form.
This matters when the form stops working, goes unanswered, or you get told you must visit a location to cancel a membership you bought online. Document every step, save every screenshot, note the dates. The FTC accepts consumer complaints at ftc.gov/complaint, and your state attorney general’s office also handles subscription billing complaints.
Confirming You’re Cancelling the Right Plan
Clean Freak’s Fast Pass has four tiers, and matching your statement amount to the tier helps confirm the right account:7Clean Freak Car Wash. Clean Freak Car Wash Home
- Classic, $11 the first month, then $22 per month
- Deluxe, $16 the first month, then $27 per month
- Premium, $20 the first month, then $32 per month
- Ultimate, $27 for the first three months, then $37 per month
If your statement amount doesn’t match any of these, you may be on a legacy or promotional rate. Put the exact dollar amount in the comments field on the cancellation form so Clean Freak can pull up the right account. Selecting the correct home location on the form narrows it down further.
