Cancel Through the Apple App Store

Cancel Through the Google Play Store
On Android, open the Google Play Store app, tap your profile icon, and go to Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions. Tap ChatGPT, then Cancel subscription, and confirm. Plus access continues through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
If You Can’t Log Into Your Account

Confirm the Cancellation Went Through
Don’t assume. In ChatGPT Settings under Billing, the plan status should read as canceled rather than active. You should also receive a confirmation email from OpenAI or from the app store that handled the payment. Keep that email until the next billing date has passed without a charge.

Can You Get a Refund?
OpenAI’s general position is that subscription payments are non-refundable, with some exceptions. Accidental purchases are typically eligible if you contact support within 14 days of the charge, with decisions made case by case through the help center chat. Don’t Delete Your Account Before Canceling
Canceling the subscription and deleting the OpenAI account are two different things, and the order matters. Deleting the account does not stop the subscription charges.
