Cancel in the App

If You Signed Up Through the App Store or Google Play
This is the trap. If you originally subscribed through Apple or Google rather than directly with Brigit, your billing is handled by the store, and canceling inside the Brigit app will not stop the charges. You have to cancel in your phone’s subscription settings.

Downgrade Instead
If you just want to stop paying, you can downgrade to the free plan rather than cancel outright. What Stops and What Keeps Going
Credit Builder, Credit Monitoring, and Identity Theft Protection stop immediately when you cancel. Instant Cash and other features remain available through the end of your current billing period.1Brigit. Brigit Terms of Service If you still owe on an advance, Brigit will continue pulling the scheduled repayment from your linked bank account after your subscription ends. Canceling does not erase the debt or stop the collection.
Deleting Your Account for Real

Log in at hellobrigit.com, go to Settings, scroll down, and click “Delete My Account.” Confirm when prompted. Brigit also connects to your bank through Plaid, and deleting your Brigit account doesn’t cut that connection on Plaid’s side. To do that, go to my.plaid.com, log in, open “Accounts,” find your bank, and choose “Delete from Plaid.” You’ll type “delete” to confirm.6Plaid Consumer Help Center. Confirm the Cancellation Stuck
Screenshot the confirmation page. Check your next bank or card statement. One final charge for the cycle you were already in is normal. A second one isn’t, and you should dispute it with your bank, referencing the cancellation confirmation.
