How to Cancel BlueWave Membership: Online, Phone, and Timing

To cancel a BlueWave Express membership, sign in to the account portal at bluewaveexpress.mywashaccount.com/login, stop by any BlueWave Express or ClearWater Express Wash location, or call (877) 503-0008. Submit the cancellation at least seven days before your next billing date to be safe; the company’s FAQ sets three days as the absolute minimum. Keep the confirmation email or receipt in case a charge appears later.

Canceling Online

The fastest route is the Manage My Plan page on the BlueWave Express website, which sends you to a login screen at bluewaveexpress.mywashaccount.com/login. Sign in with the email you used at signup and follow the prompts to end your Unlimited Express Pass.

One warning: the general Contact Us form on the BlueWave Express site explicitly says it does not accept membership changes or cancellations. Filling it out does nothing, and the charges keep coming. Use the membership portal instead.

Stay on the page until it confirms the cancellation went through, and save the confirmation email. That email is your proof if a charge shows up on your card after you canceled.

Canceling In Person or By Phone

Any BlueWave Express or ClearWater Express Wash location can process the cancellation, since both brands operate under the same company. Ask a staff member to cancel your membership and request a printed receipt before you leave. A verbal “you’re all set” is not enough to dispute a later charge with your bank.

To cancel by phone, call (877) 503-0008. Whichever method you use, ask for written or emailed confirmation and note the date and any reference number.

When To Cancel To Avoid Another Charge

BlueWave Express bills your card monthly on the anniversary of your signup date, and billing continues automatically until you cancel. The FAQ page says to cancel at least three days before your next billing cycle. The Manage My Plan page recommends at least seven days to allow processing time. Aim for seven; there’s no upside to cutting it close.

Miss the cutoff and you’ll be billed for another full month whether you use the wash or not.

What Happens After You Cancel

Your Unlimited Express Pass stays active through the end of the billing cycle you’ve already paid for, so you can keep using the wash until that cycle ends. Canceling early in the month doesn’t cut you off early.

There are no refunds. The FAQ states directly that BlueWave Express does not refund car wash services or past billing cycles. Cancel mid-month and you use the remaining days; you won’t get a prorated refund for the unused portion.

Transferring To A New Vehicle Instead

If the reason you’re canceling is a new car rather than wanting to stop washing altogether, transfer the membership instead. Log into the Manage My Plan portal or call your local location to update the vehicle on file. You keep the remaining days on your current cycle and skip signing up again.

If You’re Charged After Canceling

This is where the confirmation email or printed receipt earns its keep. Start by contacting BlueWave Express through the Manage My Plan portal or at (877) 503-0008 with the cancellation date and reference number in hand.

If that doesn’t resolve it, file a billing dispute with your bank or credit card issuer. Most card issuers let you dispute unauthorized recurring charges, and your cancellation confirmation is the evidence you need. The federal FTC Click-to-Cancel rule, finalized in late 2024, requires subscription sellers to provide a simple cancellation mechanism and to stop charges once you cancel, which gives you additional leverage in a dispute if the company keeps billing after a clear cancellation request.
