How to Cancel AT&T Personal Cloud Subscription: Web, App, Phone

To cancel your AT&T Personal Cloud subscription, sign in at att.com/mywireless, open the add-ons for the line carrying the service, and remove it — but download your stored photos and files first, because AT&T is shutting the service down entirely on February 1, 2026, and all remaining data will be permanently deleted.1AT&T. Download Your Files Before You Cancel

Cancellation triggers deletion. AT&T’s terms state that all Personal Cloud data is permanently deleted within 30 days of cancellation, and once that window closes there is no recovery process and no way for customer support to retrieve anything.2AT&T. AT&T Personal Cloud App Subscription The same fate applies to any data left on the platform when the service shuts down on February 1, 2026.

AT&T provides an archive tool that bundles your files into downloadable ZIP packages. Sign in through the web portal, look for the “Request your archive” option, and submit the request. You’ll get a confirmation email, followed within about 48 hours by a second email containing a download link. That link opens a page where your files are split into ZIP archives of up to 5 GB each, and you download each one separately.

Don’t leave this to the last day. The archive can take the full 48 hours to prepare, and downloading several ZIPs takes time if you have a lot of storage. Once the files are on your computer, extract them and spot-check a few photos and at least one video to confirm nothing is corrupted. If you plan to move your library to Google Photos, iCloud, Dropbox, or another service, do that after the download finishes and before you cancel.

Cancel on the AT&T Website

What Happens After You Cancel

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep access to your files for the rest of the cycle you’ve already paid for, but new uploads stop. Within 30 days after that, AT&T permanently deletes everything stored in your Personal Cloud, and there is no way to restore it.2AT&T.
