You can cancel an ImmoScout24 subscription in three main ways: through the MyScout account dashboard, through the platform’s online cancellation form for private customers, or, for business accounts, by sending a signed written cancellation to service@immobilienscout24.de. Consumer contracts signed after March 1, 2022 can be ended at the close of the minimum term and, after that, at any time with no more than one month’s notice. If you signed up in the last 14 days, a separate withdrawal right lets you cancel without reason and get your money back.
What to Have Ready Before You Cancel
Pull a few details from your account first. Log in and open your profile settings or the Konto verwalten (Manage Account) area, and note down:
- Your customer number, assigned when you created the account and visible in account settings or in any billing email from ImmoScout24.
- The exact product name you want to end, such as Plus-Mitgliedschaft, VermietenPlus, or another paid tier.
- Your contract start date, which sets your minimum term and your earliest possible cancellation date. It appears in your membership or contract overview.
Having these ready avoids delays if you end up submitting the written form rather than clicking through in your account.
Canceling Through the MyScout Dashboard
For most private subscribers, the quickest route is inside the MyScout customer area. German law requires digital service providers to offer a straightforward online cancellation path, and ImmoScout24 embeds cancellation links directly in the account dashboard.
For a Plus-Mitgliedschaft, log in and go to Konto verwalten → Meine Plus-Mitgliedschaft, where you’ll find a cancellation link. For other paid contracts, go to Konto verwalten → Meine Verträge, pick the contract you want to end, and follow the prompts.1ImmoScout24. Kündigung online
The system asks you to confirm your intent and pick a reason for leaving. A final screen shows the effective cancellation date. Click the confirm or send button on that last screen. If you close the browser before completing that step, the subscription stays active and billing continues.
Using the Online Cancellation Form
If the in-account link isn’t working or you can’t find it, ImmoScout24 also runs a dedicated cancellation form for private customers on its cancellation page, labeled Kündigungsformular für Privatkunden. It asks for your account details and a cancellation reason.1ImmoScout24. Kündigung online
After you submit, ImmoScout24 confirms receipt by email within a few minutes. Save that confirmation. It is your proof in any later billing dispute.
State which product you’re ending and include your customer number. If you’re requesting an extraordinary cancellation for serious cause, such as the service being fundamentally different from what was promised, pick the “außerordentlich und mit sofortiger Wirkung” option and explain why. Business Accounts (Geschäftskund:in)
Business customers follow a different route. Your individual contract governs your notice period and minimum term, and ImmoScout24 requires business cancellations to arrive as a signed written document. A plain email without a signature will not be accepted.1ImmoScout24. Kündigung online
Send the signed letter to service@immobilienscout24.de, and make sure it arrives before your contractual notice deadline. The ImmoScout24 terms for business customers also state that selling or closing your business does not give you a right to end the contract early; you remain liable for fees through the end of the agreed term.2ImmoScout24. One more point for business accounts: the standard terms say email cancellation is not permitted unless your individual contract says otherwise. If You Subscribed Through the App Store
If you signed up through Google Play or the Apple App Store rather than on the ImmoScout24 website, the cancellation lives in that store, not in your ImmoScout24 account. Deleting the app from your phone does not stop the charges.
On Android, open Google Play, go to your subscriptions, select the ImmoScout24 subscription, tap Cancel subscription, and confirm. You keep access through the end of the period you already paid for. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, find ImmoScout24, and tap Cancel Subscription. On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid the first charge. The 14-Day Withdrawal Right
This is the protection most people overlook. Under EU distance-selling rules, consumers who buy a service online get a 14-day cooling-off period starting the day the contract is agreed.5Your Europe – European Union. Returns and the Right of Withdrawal
ImmoScout24’s terms confirm this. Within 14 days of signing up for a paid subscription, you can withdraw without giving any reason and receive a full refund. The refund must arrive within 14 days of ImmoScout24 receiving your withdrawal notice. The withdrawal right expires early if the service has been fully performed and you expressly consented to start it immediately while acknowledging you’d lose the withdrawal right on full performance. Notice Periods and When Cancellation Takes Effect
When your cancellation kicks in depends on when you signed the contract and what kind of subscription you hold.
For consumer contracts signed after March 1, 2022, you can cancel to the end of the minimum term. After the minimum term, the contract converts to an indefinite-term agreement, and you can cancel anytime with no more than one month’s notice. This reflects changes to the German Civil Code under Section 309 No. 9, which bars standard terms locking consumers into automatic year-long renewals.6Federal Ministry of Justice (Germany). ImmoScout24’s cancellation page says the same: consumer contracts from after March 2022 can be terminated at the end of the minimum term and thereafter at any time with a maximum one-month notice period. The Plus-Mitgliedschaft follows this pattern.1ImmoScout24. Kündigung online
On older contracts from before March 2022, you may still face longer notice periods or automatic renewal terms that were allowed under the previous rules. Check the specific terms in your contract overview. Even so, once any auto-renewal kicks in, the one-month cap applies; the law doesn’t allow standard terms to impose a longer notice window for the renewed portion.6Federal Ministry of Justice (Germany). What Happens After You Cancel
Once cancellation goes through, ImmoScout24 emails a confirmation to the address on your account. You keep access to all premium features until the final day of your paid billing cycle. Paid for three months? You use all three. There’s no early shutoff.
After the paid period ends, the account itself doesn’t disappear. It reverts to a free basic status. You can still log in, view saved searches, and access historical data, but premium features such as priority contact and enhanced listing visibility stop. No further charges hit your payment method.
There are no prorated refunds for unused days. If you cancel on day two of a monthly cycle, you have access through the end of that month, but you don’t get money back for the remaining days. The only refund path is the 14-day withdrawal right, and even then, you may owe for services already used. Outside that window, cancellation means stopping future charges, not reversing past ones.
