To cancel AccuWeather Premium, you have to cancel through whichever platform originally took your payment: Apple if you subscribed on an iPhone or iPad, Google if you subscribed on Android, PayPal if the charge routes through PayPal, or AccuWeather directly if you signed up on the website. Tapping around inside the AccuWeather app itself will not stop the charges when Apple or Google is the biller. The subscription is $7.95 per month or $79.95 per year, and it renews on its own until you stop it at the source.
Find Out Who Is Actually Billing You
This is the step people skip, and it is why cancellations fail. Pull up your bank or credit card statement and look at the merchant name on the AccuWeather charge. “Apple.com/bill” or “APPLE.COM” means you subscribed through the App Store. “GOOGLE*AccuWeather” or something similar means Google Play is handling it. A charge from “AccuWeather” or one routed through PayPal means you signed up on the website.
You can also check inside the platforms. On an iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions. On Android, open the Google Play Store and go to Payments & subscriptions. If AccuWeather Premium is not listed in either place, the billing is happening through the website or PayPal.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top of the screen.
- Tap Subscriptions to see everything tied to your Apple ID.
- Tap AccuWeather Premium in the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiration date in red, the subscription is already canceled. On a free trial, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends or Apple will charge you for the first billing period.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple
Cancel on Android
- Open the Google Play Store and tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select AccuWeather Premium.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Google will ask you to pick a reason before finalizing. Once you confirm, the screen shows the date your access ends.2Google Play Help. Cancel, Pause, or Change a Subscription on Google Play
Cancel Through PayPal
If your statement shows the charge going through PayPal, you have to revoke the billing agreement inside PayPal. Canceling in the AccuWeather app alone will not stop PayPal from continuing to send payments.
- Log in to PayPal and open Settings (the gear icon).
- Click Payments, then Manage automatic payments.
- Find AccuWeather in the list of active merchants.
- Click Cancel to revoke the recurring authorization.
Revoking the agreement here guarantees no further charges go through, even if AccuWeather’s own system is slow to process the cancellation.3PayPal. What Is an Automatic Payment and How Do I Update or Cancel One
Cancel on the AccuWeather Website
If you subscribed directly at accuweather.com with a credit or debit card, log into your account there. Go into your account or profile settings and look for the subscription or billing section, where the option to cancel Premium lives. Your access continues through the end of the current billing cycle.4AccuWeather.com. Support – Cancel My Professional Account

Free Trial Timing
AccuWeather Premium offers a 14-day free trial on both the monthly and annual plans. You have to cancel before the trial ends or you will be charged automatically for the full subscription period. On Apple, the cutoff is 24 hours before the trial expires, so waiting until the last day is already too late.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Set a reminder a day or two in advance. If you cancel during the trial, you typically lose premium features right away rather than keeping them through the original end date.
Getting a Refund
Canceling stops future charges. It does not automatically refund the current billing period. Refund requests go to whoever processed the payment.
For Apple charges, go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, choose “Request a refund,” pick a reason, and select the AccuWeather charge.6Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple
For Google Play charges, go to play.google.com, click your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Click “Report a problem” next to the charge, describe the situation, and submit. Google usually responds within one to four business days. If the purchase was more than 48 hours ago, Google may point you to AccuWeather’s developer team instead.7Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
For direct AccuWeather charges, email support@accuweather.com. AccuWeather generally does not offer partial-period refunds. Your best case is a charge that hit after what you reasonably thought was a completed cancellation, or a trial charge you canceled in time.
Confirm the Cancellation Went Through
You should get a confirmation email from Apple, Google, or AccuWeather within a few hours. If none arrives, go back into the platform’s subscription settings and verify the cancellation stuck. This matters most when you are canceling close to a renewal date. Until the current billing period ends, premium features stay active; after that, the app reverts to the free version with ads.4AccuWeather.com. Support – Cancel My Professional Account
Canceling Is Not the Same as Deleting Your Account
Stopping the subscription and deleting the account are two separate actions. Canceling stops the billing but leaves your account on file so you can come back later without starting over; AccuWeather calls this the “Remember me” option. If you also want your data removed, AccuWeather offers a “Forget me” option that anonymizes your account and pulls your details from active systems, though AccuWeather may keep copies for backup, audit, or legal compliance.4AccuWeather.com.
