To cancel a Fanicon subscription, you have to cancel through the same platform you used to sign up: Apple’s App Store on iPhone, Google Play on Android, or the Fanicon website if you paid by credit card. Deleting the app or removing your card will not stop the billing. Cancel at least 24 to 48 hours before your next renewal date so you aren’t charged for another cycle.
Figure Out Which Platform Is Billing You
Fanicon runs subscriptions through three separate channels, and each one has its own cancellation path. Using the wrong path won’t stop the charges.
Check the receipt from your original signup. A charge from Apple or Google means that platform is managing the subscription and you’ll cancel in your device settings. A charge that came directly from Fanicon, or a credit card transaction with no app store involved, means you’ll cancel on the Fanicon website. You can also log into the Fanicon web portal and look under your community membership information to see which plan is active.
If you’ve lost access to your account, Fanicon’s support team can be reached at info@fanicon.net. Have your registered email address ready so they can locate the account.
Cancel on iPhone
Subscriptions started on an iPhone or iPad are billed by Apple. You cancel in Settings, not inside the Fanicon app.
- Open Settings and tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions to see everything tied to your Apple account.
- Select Fanicon from the list.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
After you confirm, the subscription page will show an expiration date instead of a renewal date, meaning no further charges will go through.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Fanicon’s own support page confirms you must use iPhone Settings rather than any option inside the Fanicon app itself.2Fanicon. How to Cancel Your Subscription
Cancel on Android
If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel inside the Play Store. Uninstalling the app does nothing to stop the billing.
- Open the Google Play Store and make sure you’re signed into the correct Google account.
- Tap your profile icon and select Payments & Subscriptions.
- Select the Fanicon subscription.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow the prompts.
Google Play requires cancellation at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Miss that window and the subscription renews automatically for another cycle.3Google Play. Fanicon
Cancel on the Fanicon Website
If you signed up on fanicon.net with a credit card, cancellation happens on the website. Log into the web version of Fanicon, then:
- Find the community you want to leave under “Communities currently subscribed.”
- Click Membership Information for that community.
- Click Subscription Information at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Cancel an Active Plan and select Next in the pop-up to confirm.
This sends a cancellation directly to the credit card processor.2Fanicon. How to Cancel Your Subscription A web cancellation can’t be undone once completed. If you change your mind later, you’ll have to resubscribe from scratch.
What Will Not Cancel Your Subscription
This is where people get caught out. None of the following stop the charges:
- Deleting the Fanicon app. The billing agreement lives with Apple, Google, or the credit card processor, not the app itself.
- Removing your credit card from your Fanicon account. The subscription survives the card being deleted.
- Simply not using the service. Charges continue whether you log in daily or never open the app again.
People often discover this months later when they notice charges they thought had stopped. If that describes your situation, the dispute steps below apply.
Verify the Cancellation
Confirm it actually worked. On iPhone, return to Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, and check that Fanicon shows an expiration date rather than a renewal date.1Apple Support. If You Want to Cancel a Subscription From Apple On Android, open Google Play, go to Payments & Subscriptions, and check that Fanicon no longer appears as active. For a web cancellation, your community membership status should show as expired or pending expiration.
You’ll usually keep access to the community content through the end of the current billing period. Once that date passes, your access drops to whatever free tier the creator offers, if any.3Google Play. Fanicon
Requesting a Refund
Fanicon itself generally does not issue prorated refunds for a partial month. The platform that processed your payment may, so it’s worth trying there.
Apple App Store Refunds
Apple handles refund requests through its Report a Problem portal. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, select “Request a refund,” choose a reason, pick the Fanicon charge from your history, and submit. Apple typically responds within 24 to 48 hours.4Apple Support. Request a Refund for Apps or Content That You Bought From Apple Approval isn’t guaranteed, but accidental renewals and charges that hit after a cancellation attempt are common reasons Apple grants refunds.
Google Play Refunds
Google Play’s process depends on the situation. For most subscription charges, Google recommends contacting the app developer first. You can also request a refund directly through Google Play’s support page. Unauthorized charges must be reported within 120 days of the transaction.5Google Play Help. Disputing Charges That Continue After You Canceled
If you canceled correctly and charges keep hitting your credit card, you have legal options. The Fair Credit Billing Act gives you the right to dispute billing errors on credit card statements, including charges for services you’ve already canceled. Send a written dispute to your card issuer within 60 days of the statement showing the incorrect charge.6Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
The issuer must acknowledge the dispute within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days. During the investigation you’re not required to pay the disputed amount. Keep your cancellation confirmation email or a screenshot as evidence. If the card issuer doesn’t follow the proper dispute procedure, they forfeit up to $50 of the amount in question, even if the charge turns out to be legitimate.6Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges
For charges through Apple or Google rather than a direct credit card transaction, use the refund processes above before escalating to a bank dispute. App store charges route through Apple or Google as the merchant of record, so your bank may point you back to them first.
