Update Your SIN and Address Before Slips Are Generated

Two things need to be current in McGill’s system before the calendar year ends: your mailing address and your Social Insurance Number. The university is legally required to collect your SIN for tax reporting, and the CRA can assess a $100 penalty against anyone who fails to provide one on request, unless they have applied and are still waiting.9Department of Justice Canada.
