A charge from Google Begamob Global on your bank or card statement is a subscription to a mobile app published by the developer Begamob Global, billed through Google Play. Because Google processes the payment, the statement shows Google’s name instead of the app’s, which is why the charge looks unfamiliar. In most cases it traces back to a free trial that converted to a paid subscription, or a purchase made on a device linked to your Google account by someone else in the household.
Who Begamob Global Is
Begamob Global, listed on Google Play as “iKame Applications – Begamob Global,” publishes utility and productivity apps rather than games. The catalog includes Cast for Chromecast & TV Cast, PDF Reader – PDF Converter, AI Cleaner, Translate: AI Camera & Voice, Universal TV Remote Control, Heart Rate Monitor – iCardiac, and ScanOn: Document & PDF Scanner, among others.1Google Play. Android Apps by iKame Applications – Begamob Global Many offer a free tier and then prompt users to subscribe for full features. That subscription is what appears on your statement.
If none of those apps rings a bell, check every device signed in to your Google account before assuming fraud. A child’s tablet, a spouse’s phone, or an old device you’ve forgotten about is often the source. Google family groups are another common cause, since purchases by any member bill to the shared payment method on file.
Find the Exact Charge in Your Google Account
Match the statement entry to a specific transaction before you cancel anything or call your bank. There are two places to look.
In the Play Store app or at play.google.com, tap your profile icon, then open Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history. Every purchase shows up with its date and amount.2Google Play Help. Review Your Order History At payments.google.com, the Activity tab lists individual orders and Subscriptions & services lists recurring ones.
Each Google Play transaction has a unique order ID beginning with “GPA” followed by numbers.3Google Play Community. How Do I Find a Transaction ID Write it down with the date and amount, and note which email address is tied to the purchase. The purchasing email is not always the one you use most. You’ll need all of this if you request a refund or dispute the charge.
Cancel the Subscription
Canceling stops future charges but does not refund past ones. Sign in at payments.google.com, open Subscriptions & services, click Manage next to the Begamob subscription, and choose Cancel subscription.4Google Payments Center Help. Manage Recurring Payments and Subscriptions If no cancel option appears, the page will redirect you to the Google product where the subscription started, and you cancel from inside the app.
Confirm afterward that the subscription status reads as canceled, and check your inbox and spam folder for Google’s confirmation email. If a charge still posts after that, you have solid grounds to dispute it.
Request a Refund From Google
Google’s refund process depends on how old the charge is and whether you authorized it.
For a purchase made in the last 48 hours, request a refund through Google Play directly. At play.google.com, click your profile icon, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & order history, and click Report a problem next to the transaction. Pick the reason that fits, complete the form, and submit. Google usually replies by email within one to four business days.5Google Play Help. Request a Refund on Google Play
Past 48 hours, Google routes standard refund requests to the app developer. The unauthorized-charge path is separate and runs much longer: Google accepts reports of unauthorized credit card, debit card, and PayPal charges for up to 120 days from the transaction date, and mobile carrier billing for up to 60 days.6Google Play Help. Report Charges You Dont Recognize You submit this through a separate form in the Google Payments Center and should hear back within about seven business days. Older than those windows, Google can no longer help and your only remaining option is your bank.
Dispute the Charge With Your Bank
If Google refuses the refund or the charge is clearly fraudulent, your card issuer is next. Your rights and the timeline depend on the type of card.
Credit Cards
Credit card billing disputes are governed by the Fair Credit Billing Act. To trigger the statutory protections, send a written dispute notice to your issuer within 60 days of the statement date that first showed the charge. A phone call alone does not activate these rights, though most issuers will still open a dispute informally. Your written notice must include your name, account number, the disputed amount, and why you believe it’s a billing error.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 Correction of Billing Errors
While the dispute is being investigated, you don’t have to pay the disputed amount, and the issuer can’t report it as delinquent or close your account over it. The issuer is not required to post a provisional credit; the protection is that you can withhold that portion of the bill without penalty.8Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Regulation Z 1026.13 Billing Error Resolution
Debit Cards
Debit transactions fall under the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, and timing matters more. Report an unauthorized charge within 60 days of receiving the statement and your maximum liability is $50. After that 60-day window, you can be liable for the full amount of any further unauthorized transfers.9Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1693g Consumer Liability If a lost or stolen card is involved and you don’t report it within two business days of learning about the loss, liability can rise to $500.
Unlike credit card disputes, your bank generally must post a provisional credit within ten business days of your report, or 20 business days for accounts open less than 30 days, while it investigates. The bank then has up to 45 days to resolve the matter, or up to 90 days for foreign transactions, point-of-sale debit purchases, or transactions within 30 days of account opening.10Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Get My Money Back After I Discover an Unauthorized Transaction or Money Missing From My Bank Account
Why a Bank Dispute Should Be the Last Step
Filing a chargeback through your bank for a Google Play transaction can get your Google account suspended or restricted. Google treats bank-initiated chargebacks as potential fraud on the customer’s side, and users have reported losing access to Google Pay and other services after filing one. Exhaust Google’s own refund and unauthorized-charge process before going to your bank. If you do file a chargeback, you may need to resolve it directly with Google before your account access is restored.
Whichever path you take, keep records: screenshots of your Google Play order history, every email from Google about the refund, and notes from any bank call with the date, representative name, and reference number.
Stop It From Happening Again
A few setting changes will prevent a repeat.
Require Authentication for Every Purchase
Google Play can require your password, fingerprint, or face scan before any purchase completes. In the Play Store app, tap your profile icon, open Payments & subscriptions, select Purchase verification, and set the frequency to “Always.”11Google Play Help. Purchase Verification for Google Play Turning on biometric verification goes a step further by requiring a fingerprint or face scan each time. This is the single most effective block against accidental and unauthorized purchases on your device.
Require Approval for Family Members
If a child or other family member uses a device tied to your Google account, Family Link lets you require your approval before any purchase goes through. Open Family Link, select the person’s account, tap Controls, then Google Play, then under Purchases & download approvals pick “All content.” You’ll get a notification to approve or deny each attempt. The approval rule does not cover purchases from Play Books, Google TV, or non-prepaid subscriptions.12Google Help. Purchase Approvals on Google Play
Set a Monthly Budget
Google Play can also warn you once your purchases pass a monthly amount you set. In the Play Store app, go to Payments & subscriptions, then Budget & history, and tap Set budget.13Google Play Help. Set a Budget for Your Google Play Expenses It won’t block the purchase, but the alert is often enough to catch a charge you didn’t expect before it repeats.
