A Glam Fitness charge on your credit or debit card statement almost always traces back to one of two recurring subscriptions: Glam Labs, Inc., a San Francisco company behind AI styling and beauty apps like Glam AI and getglam.app, or Glam Luxe Fitness, which ships a monthly workout-apparel box. Both bill on auto-renewal, and both commonly show up on statements weeks or months after a free trial or discounted intro offer that the cardholder thought was a one-time purchase.
Which Company Is Actually Billing You
The merchant descriptor on a statement rarely matches the brand you remember signing up for. The quickest tell is the dollar amount.
A charge around $7.99 lines up with Glam Labs’ weekly introductory rate for its AI styling apps; the standard rate runs to $16.99 per month.1Glam AI. Glam AI Payment Page A charge near $59.99 (or $54.99 on a quarterly plan) points to Glam Luxe Fitness, which sells a monthly box containing a workout outfit, a fashion accessory, and a beauty product.2Glam Luxe Fitness. How to Cancel Glam Labs (Glam AI / getglam.app)
Glam Labs says subscriptions have to be canceled through whichever platform you originally signed up on, and they cannot be transferred between platforms. That means Apple App Store subscriptions must be canceled in iOS settings, Google Play subscriptions in the Play Store, and web subscriptions through the company itself.3Glam Labs. Terms of Service Direct contact goes to support@glamlabs.app.1Glam AI. Glam AI Payment Page
The company’s refund policy is narrow. Payments are generally non-refundable unless “the premium Content and Services is never provided nor made accessible,” and refunds have to be processed through the original sales platform.3Glam Labs. Terms of Service
Expect friction. Glam Labs holds an F rating from the Better Business Bureau based on ten filed complaints and a pattern of not responding. One consumer reported being billed $7.99 per week for five consecutive weeks after trying to cancel, and another said charges continued for months.4Better Business Bureau. Glam Labs, Inc. BBB Business Profile If you cancel in the app store, keep the confirmation screen; if you email support, keep the message. You will likely need that record for a dispute.
How to Cancel Glam Luxe Fitness
Glam Luxe Fitness states that its subscriptions auto-renew but “can be canceled or paused at any time,” and cancellation runs through the website account portal.2Glam Luxe Fitness. The Glam Luxe Box
Disputing the Charge With Your Card Issuer
If cancellation does not stop the billing, or if you want a refund the merchant will not give, the Fair Credit Billing Act lets you dispute the charge through your credit card issuer. You have 60 days from the statement date on which the charge appeared to send a written dispute to the issuer’s billing-inquiry address (not the payment address), with your name, account number, and a description of the charge you are contesting.5FTC. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges6Discover. Fair Credit Billing Act
The issuer must acknowledge the dispute in writing within 30 days and resolve it within two billing cycles. While it investigates, you do not have to pay the disputed amount, and the issuer cannot report that amount as delinquent or send it to collections.5FTC. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges If the charge is found to be unauthorized, your maximum liability under the FCBA is $50, and many issuers waive it entirely.6Discover. Fair Credit Billing Act
A debit card charge is a weaker position legally, but most issuers will still open a dispute. Call the number on the back of the card and ask to dispute a recurring charge after canceling the subscription.
The Laws That Back You Up
ROSCA
The Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act, a 2010 federal law, requires any online seller using negative-option billing (where charges continue unless the consumer cancels) to clearly disclose all material terms before collecting billing information, obtain express informed consent before charging, and provide a simple way to stop recurring charges. The FTC enforces it.7U.S. Congress. Restore Online Shoppers’ Confidence Act
California’s Automatic Renewal Law
Because Glam Labs is based in San Francisco, California’s automatic renewal statute applies to its subscriptions. Amendments that took effect July 1, 2025, require businesses to obtain express affirmative consent to auto-renewal through a separate action (such as a dedicated checkbox), allow cancellation through the same method the consumer used to sign up, give at least seven days’ advance notice of price changes, and send annual reminders listing the service name, price, billing frequency, and cancellation instructions.8California Legislature. AB 2863, Automatic Renewals If a company failed to get that consent or made cancellation harder than sign-up, that is a point worth raising in your dispute.
A Note on the FTC’s Click-to-Cancel Rule
The FTC finalized a “Click-to-Cancel” rule in October 2024 that would have required cancellation to be as easy as sign-up.9FTC. FTC Announces Final Click-to-Cancel Rule The Eighth Circuit vacated it on procedural grounds in July 2025, and as of early 2026 the FTC has only submitted a new draft advance notice of proposed rulemaking. The rule itself is not currently in effect, though the FTC can still pursue subscription-billing abuses under ROSCA and its general authority over unfair or deceptive practices.10Crowell & Moring. What to Do Right Now
Match the amount on your statement to the likely company. Cancel through the correct channel and save a dated screenshot or email of the cancellation. If the charges continue, or if the merchant refuses a refund you believe you are owed, send a written dispute to your card issuer within 60 days of the statement date and ask the issuer to block any further charges from that merchant.
