A Fabulous SAS charge on your card comes from Fabulous, a French company that sells a habit-tracking and daily routine app on a subscription basis. The descriptor may read “FABULOUS SAS,” “FABULOUSSAS,” or a variant that includes “PARIS.” In almost every case, the charge is tied to a subscription you started, often through a free trial that quietly converted to a paid plan. Here’s how to confirm it, stop future charges, and try to get the money back.
Confirm the Charge by Matching the Amount
Fabulous mainly sells an annual subscription. The standard annual price is $39.99, and promotional rates run roughly $17 to $60 depending on the offer accepted at signup.1Fabulous. Redeem Your All Access Pass There’s also a quarterly plan at $39.99 per quarter. Prices shift with in-app promotions, so your charge may not line up exactly with what another user paid.
If your amount is a dollar or two above one of these prices, that’s likely a foreign transaction fee added by your card issuer, since Fabulous bills from France. Most U.S. cards charge around 3% on international purchases, which works out to roughly $1.20 on a $39.99 subscription. Capital One and Discover don’t add that fee.
If the amount matches none of the tiers above and you’ve never downloaded the app, treat it as potentially unauthorized and go straight to the bank-dispute section.
Why the Charge Showed Up Now
Most surprise charges trace back to a free trial. Fabulous runs trials of different lengths (7-day, 30-day, and 90-day promotions all exist), and each one requires your payment method upfront. Once the trial period ends, the subscription starts billing automatically.
To avoid a charge, you have to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.2The Fabulous Help Center. Why Was I Charged After My Free Trial Waiting until the last day often fails because the app store queues renewal charges in advance. If you’re still inside a trial and don’t want to continue, cancel now rather than setting a reminder.
Deleting the App Does Not Cancel the Subscription
This is where people lose money. Removing Fabulous from your phone stops nothing. The subscription lives in your Apple ID or Google account, not in the app. You can uninstall it from every device and still get billed on the next renewal date, because the app store treats the subscription as active until you cancel it through account settings.
If you deleted the app months ago and just saw a new charge, that’s the reason. To stop it, cancel through the platform where you originally signed up.
How to Cancel a Fabulous Subscription
Your cancellation path depends on where you subscribed. A subscription bought through the App Store can’t be cancelled on Fabulous’s website, and one bought through the website can’t be cancelled through Apple or Google. If you’re not sure which applies, look in your email for a purchase receipt from Apple, Google, or Fabulous.

Disputing the Charge With Your Bank
If you don’t recognize the charge, or Fabulous refuses a refund you think you’re owed, you can dispute the transaction through your card issuer or bank.
For credit cards, the Fair Credit Billing Act gives you 60 days from the date the statement was sent to submit a written dispute to the issuer’s billing inquiries address. Your notice must identify your account, the charge, the amount, and why you believe it’s wrong. The issuer has to acknowledge the notice within 30 days and resolve the investigation within two billing cycles.7Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 1666 – Correction of Billing Errors
For debit cards, Regulation E gives you a similar 60-day window from the date the statement reflecting the transaction was sent. Missing that deadline can leave you liable for later unauthorized transfers, so check statements regularly.8eCFR. 12 CFR 1005.11 – Procedures for Resolving Errors
Most banks let you start a dispute by phone or in-app, but following up in writing preserves your full rights under federal law. Save cancellation confirmations, any refund denial emails, and screenshots of your subscription status. They’ll strengthen your case during the investigation.
