File an Easton warranty claim for a bat by submitting the online form at warranty.rawlings.com. You upload photos of the defect along with your original proof of purchase, and if the claim qualifies, Rawlings emails you a Return Authorization number within 15 business days.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information Non-bat products like helmets, bags, and protective gear use a different channel through Rawlings customer service.
What to Gather Before You Open the Form
Have everything ready in one place before you start. A missing item can stall or sink the claim.
- Your original sales receipt from an authorized Easton, Rawlings, Miken, or Worth dealer, showing the purchase date, price, and retailer. Without it, the claim is denied.
- The product model number, found on the bat near the handle or taper.
- The serial number, engraved or printed on the handle or taper. If it has been removed or defaced, coverage is void.
- Clear, well-lit photos of the defect from multiple angles.
The authorized-dealer requirement is where a lot of claims fail. Bats bought through third-party auction sites, marketplace platforms, or individual resellers do not qualify, and the warranty terms specifically name SidelineSwap as not authorized. If you aren’t sure your retailer counts, call Rawlings at 1-800-729-5464 or email teamdealers@rawlings.com before you file.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. How to Submit the Claim
For non-wood bats purchased in the United States with a U.S. address, go to warranty.rawlings.com and complete the online claim form. Do not return the bat to your sporting goods dealer; the claim goes directly through Rawlings.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information The form asks for your contact information, product details, a description of the defect, and uploaded images of both the bat and your proof of purchase.2Rawlings. If you bought the bat outside the United States or have a non-U.S. address, the process reverses. Return the bat with your proof of purchase to the sporting goods dealer where you bought it, not to Rawlings.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Helmets, bags, batting gloves, and other protective gear do not go through the bat portal. Start those claims by emailing returns@rawlings.com or calling 1-800-729-5464, option 2.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information
What Easton Actually Covers
The limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship, meaning flaws that originated during manufacturing rather than damage from play. Aluminum and composite bats are covered for one year from the original purchase date. Composite hockey sticks carry a 30-day window.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser. A bat bought secondhand, gifted without the receipt, or picked up on a resale site is not covered. You also get one replacement per original purchase; if the replacement itself later fails, it typically will not qualify for a second claim under that transaction.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Easton’s archery division warranties arrow shafts for one year, but those claims go through your local Easton archery dealer, not the online bat portal.3Easton Archery. Product Limited Warranty
What Voids the Warranty
This is where most claims fall apart. Several common ways people use bats will kill coverage entirely:
- Hitting dimpled or rubber cage balls. The bat must be used only with regulation, non-weighted baseballs or softballs.
- Using weighted training balls or any object heavier than a standard ball.
- Using the bat in temperatures below 60°F (15°C). Cold makes balls harder and increases stress on composite barrels.
- Team bats shared among multiple players.
- Doctoring or altering the bat, including rolling it in a vice, shaving the inner wall, end-loading, or removing the serial number.
- Normal wear and tear such as paint chips and scratches.
All of these exclusions appear in the official warranty terms.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information The cold-weather rule catches many early-season players by surprise. A March game in a cool northern climate is technically outside coverage.
Cosmetic Wear Versus a Real Defect
Not every mark on a composite bat means it’s broken. Spider-web patterns on the barrel surface generally mean the fibers have broken in properly and the bat is at peak performance. Paint peeling or chipping is cosmetic and does not affect how the bat hits. A warranty-eligible defect is a deep crack or a separation in the barrel wall, which usually produces a noticeable drop in performance or an unusual sound on contact. If you can feel the crack with a fingernail or hear a distinct rattle, that points toward structural failure rather than normal break-in.
What Happens After You Submit
Rawlings reviews claims within 15 business days, roughly three calendar weeks. If the product qualifies, a warranty representative emails a Return Authorization number (RA#) to the address you provided on the form.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information
If a physical inspection is required, Rawlings sends a prepaid shipping label. You have 10 days from receiving the label to ship the bat.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. Rawlings, Easton, Miken, and Worth Warranty Information Write the RA number clearly on the outside of the package.
When a claim is approved, Rawlings will either replace the bat with the same model or provide a comparable product if your model has been discontinued or is otherwise unavailable. Limited-edition models may be replaced with a standard in-line bat rather than an identical one. Rawlings decides what qualifies as comparable.1Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. If Your Claim Is Denied
Denials most often trace to a missing receipt, purchase from an unauthorized seller, damage that matches an excluded use like cage balls or cold-weather play, or a tampered serial number. Rawlings does not publish a formal appeals process, but you can raise the decision with customer service:

The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is the federal law that governs written warranties on consumer products. It does not require Easton to offer a warranty, but because the company provides one, the terms must be clear, available before purchase, and free of hidden conditions. If a manufacturer fails to honor its written warranty obligations, the Act permits consumers to sue for damages and, if they prevail, potentially recover attorney fees.5Office of the Law Revision Counsel. 15 USC 2310 – Remedies in Consumer Disputes For a single bat, litigation rarely makes economic sense, but the law is there as a backstop against systematic refusal on clear-cut defect claims.
