American Express periodically runs targeted promotions that unlock significant Amazon discounts when you redeem even a single Membership Rewards point at checkout. As of mid-2026, eligible cardholders can access offers for up to 50% off (capped at $80), 40% off (capped at $60), or 15% off (capped at $15) on Amazon purchases made through July 13, 2026. It’s not a full replacement. Walmart+ has no Prime Video, no Prime Gaming, and none of Amazon’s broader digital ecosystem, and Amazon generally has faster delivery on non-grocery items and a wider selection.
