Appwfg.com Charge: What It Is and How to Cancel It

A charge labeled “appwfg.com” on your credit card or bank statement is almost always a recurring subscription billed by Mobyzar, a small Estonia-based app company that sells Apple Watch face apps, most notably one called BetterWatch. If the charge is unexpected, you can stop it by canceling the subscription in your iPhone settings, emailing the company at contact@mobyzar.com to request a refund, or disputing the charge with your card issuer.

What Appwfg.com Is

The domain appwfg.com is registered to Mobyzar, an organization based in Estonia. The domain was created on April 29, 2024, through the registrar Gandi SAS, and its WHOIS record is behind a privacy service, so no individual owner is listed publicly.1Scamadviser. Check Appwfg.com

Mobyzar’s main product is BetterWatch, an app for Apple Watch users. It offers a gallery of watch faces, a workaround for the default 50-face storage limit on Apple Watch, and additional portraits, backgrounds, and live faces.2Mobyzar. Our Products The appwfg.com address itself does not appear to be a consumer-facing site; it functions as the billing descriptor that shows up on statements when Mobyzar collects a subscription payment.

Why the Charge Appeared

The charge is typically an auto-renewal on a subscription that began as a free or discounted trial inside one of Mobyzar’s apps. Once the trial period ends, the subscription converts to a paid plan and continues billing on a recurring cycle until it’s canceled. Many people don’t remember signing up because the trial and the later charge can be separated by days or weeks, and the descriptor on the statement is the domain name rather than the app’s name.

How to Cancel Through Your iPhone

Because Mobyzar distributes through the App Store, the subscription is usually managed by Apple. To cancel from an iPhone:

  • Open Settings and tap your name at the top of the screen.
  • Tap Subscriptions to see all active and expired subscriptions tied to your Apple Account.
  • Select the subscription linked to BetterWatch or Mobyzar.
  • Tap Cancel Subscription. If you see red text with an expiration date instead of a cancel button, the subscription is already canceled and will end on that date.

To avoid being charged after a free or discounted trial, Apple requires you to cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends.3Apple. How to Cancel a Subscription From Apple Canceling stops future charges but does not automatically refund past ones; refund requests go through Apple’s reportaproblem.apple.com portal or directly to Mobyzar.

Contacting Mobyzar Directly

If the subscription doesn’t appear in your Apple Account list, the payment may have gone through a different channel or been billed by Mobyzar directly. In that case, email contact@mobyzar.com, which the company lists as its support and subscription management address. Include the date and amount of the charge, the last four digits of the card that was billed, and any Apple ID or account email you may have used when signing up. Ask for cancellation and a refund in the same message so both requests are on the record.

Disputing the Charge With Your Card Issuer

If you don’t recognize the charge at all, or Mobyzar doesn’t respond, you can dispute the charge with your credit card issuer under the Fair Credit Billing Act.4Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges

To preserve your full rights, send a written dispute to the issuer’s billing inquiry address, not the payment address, within 60 days of the statement date on which the charge first appeared. Include your name, account number, and a description of the disputed charge. Certified mail with return receipt creates a paper trail. The issuer must acknowledge the dispute in writing within 30 days and resolve it within 90 days.5Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. How Do I Dispute a Charge on My Credit Card Bill

While the dispute is open, you’re not required to pay the disputed amount or related finance charges, and the issuer can’t report it as delinquent to credit bureaus. Federal law also caps your liability for truly unauthorized credit card charges at $50.4Federal Trade Commission. Using Credit Cards and Disputing Charges For a debit card charge, the protections are different and generally weaker, so contact your bank quickly if the charge hit a checking account.
