The Federal Charges

FBI agents arrested Alon at his home near Miami Beach on December 11, 2024, along with his two brothers. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York brought the case, supported by the FBI-NYPD Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force, FBI Miami, and the Miami Beach Police Department.8U.S. Department of Justice. Prosecutors alleged that Alon and his brothers ran a sex trafficking conspiracy spanning nearly two decades. According to the government, the brothers used their wealth and social connections to lure women with promises of expensive flights, upscale housing, and access to exclusive parties and vacations in the Hamptons, Aspen, and the Caribbean, then drugged and sexually assaulted them, sometimes as a group. Drugs identified in the indictment included cocaine, GHB, mushrooms, ketamine, Xanax, and Ambien.8U.S. Department of Justice. A superseding indictment filed in 2025 expanded the original charges to include sex trafficking of a minor, aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse of a physically incapacitated person, and sexual exploitation of a minor. The brothers collectively faced 10 counts at trial, with specific counts applied to specific combinations of them.3NBC News. Verdict Sex Trafficking Alexander Brothers

The case was assigned to U.S. District Judge Valerie E. Caproni. In January 2025, she denied bail, finding that no conditions could reasonably assure either community safety or the defendants’ appearance at trial.11CourtListener. United States v. The Trial and the Evidence Against Alon

The trial began in late January 2026 and ran roughly five weeks. Prosecutors called more than 30 witnesses, including 11 women who testified that the brothers sexually abused them.13New York Times. Alexander Brothers Trial Jury

Testimony directly implicating Alon came from Maylen Gehret, who told the jury that in 2017, when she was 17 years old, Alon handed her a vodka cranberry at a nightclub in Aspen, Colorado. After a second drink, she said her head became “really heavy” and she could “barely hold it up.” She testified that Alon took her and her friends to a hotel room and raped her in the bathroom. “It really hurt, and I was so scared,” she told the jury. Gehret also testified that she saw Alon touching one of her friends, who “wasn’t moving,” in the same room.10The Guardian. Alexander Brothers Trial14The Real Deal. Investigations by the Miami Herald and federal prosecutors indicated that a pattern of sexual violence predated the charged conduct. Six women reported being assaulted by the brothers during their time at Krop Senior High School between 2002 and 2005. In 2003, a 14-year-old freshman reported that she had been sexually assaulted at a party by a group of boys she identified from a yearbook as including Oren and Alon. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office closed that case at the time, citing inconsistent evidence and lack of corroboration.4Miami Herald. Alexander Brothers High School Allegations

What the Defense Argued

Alon did not take the stand and pleaded not guilty. Srebnick characterized his client’s behavior as “obnoxious, grotesque, pathetic” but argued it did not amount to a crime. He described the brothers’ crude text messages about “prey” as “locker room talk,” though Judge Caproni sustained prosecution objections when he compared the language to that of Howard Stern and Donald Trump. Responding to Gehret’s testimony, Srebnick argued that the encounter was not criminal because she had not explicitly refused. The broader defense theory was that the government had failed to prove the premeditated intent required for federal sex trafficking, and that even problematic behavior did not meet the legal threshold.15Courthouse News. Other Cases Still Pending Against Alon

The federal conviction does not end Alon’s legal exposure. He is also charged in Miami-Dade County with sexual battery in connection with a 2016 New Year’s Eve party at his Miami Beach apartment. Those state proceedings are on hold pending federal sentencing; prosecutors plan to transfer the brothers to a Miami jail afterward.19The Real Deal. A co-defendant in the New Year’s Eve case, Miami real estate broker Ohad Fisherman, had his sexual battery charge dropped in July 2025, the day before his scheduled trial, after he produced timestamped Facebook video evidence placing him elsewhere. The Miami-Dade State Attorney stated she could not prove that case beyond a reasonable doubt.20WLRN. A Day Before Trial Alleged Accomplice of Alexander Brothers Is Cleared
